If you're looking for a one-stop shopping mall offering unique designs by independent Thai designers, Terminal 21, a shopping complex opened in 2011, is your go-to.

How to go: Take BTS to Asoke station. Once you exit the station (Exit 1), the shopping mall is on your right. If coming by taxi/private transport, just tell the driver 'Terminal 21'. It is located on Sukhumvit Road, near Asoke intersection

Review: Terminal 21 is a shopping mall that has a unique airport/travel theme- each one of the floors in the mall has a theme of a well-known city such as London, Rome, Paris, Tokyo and Istanbul. It's a popular shopping destination amongst both tourists and locals owing to it's wide variety of stores & designs, as well as it's well-priced food court located on the top storey.

We visited on a weekday afternoon and the mall was relatively empty before lunch time. Here are a couple of photos of the departure banners/signs at each of the elevators:

The design of each of the floors is unique, with things such as Turkish-style lights adorning the ceiling on the 'istanbul' level.

The 'London' level is a shopping paradise for males- This floor is decorated with sculptures and iconic red telephone boxes, London's double-decker busses, Union Jack Flag and the Tower Bridge of London.

The 'London' level is a shopping paradise for males- It's inspired by the shopping mecca, Oxford Street of London, has offers a wide variety of men's wear, jeans and sports wear/goods.

It's also easy for girls to find t-shirts and dresses of cute designs that are priced moderately (e.g. $10-$15 a piece). Couple t-shirts with unique designs are also aplenty here.
