Thinking of where to go/what to do this weekend?
My schedule's already planned, but here's a suggestion for you if you haven't got anything on:
drink coffee and EAT CAKE! ^___^

red velvet. yums

Loystel’s Toy Cafe is a small cafe that’s situated in Sam tat Warehouse in Kampong Bugis along the Kallang River.

How to go: Take mrt to lavender mrt and walk (10-15mins). For walking/driving directions, check out the map here. It's located a short walk from the north bridge road food centre. You can also take bus 100, which stops at a stop on Crawford street, nearby.

Reviews: In the recent 5 years more than 10 cafes have set up shop in Singapore, adding to the booming cafe culture here. However, of all that i've tried, Loystel's Toy remains my favourite (despite what a mouthful the name is), part due to it's simple but respectable drink offerings, part due to it's humble decor and off-beat location.
fresh flowers keep the place fresh!

The coffee brewed at Loysel’s is handcrafted by Barista Ryan Tan, the 2011 Singapore National Barista Champion. The cafe’s approach is that it serves no-frills coffee – just the more mainstream varieties such as macchiato, cafe latte, and cappuccino. Loystel’s has a nice, relaxed vibe to it and simple but nice decor. There is a indoor dining area for those who want to avoid the heat, and also an alfresco area if you prefer to sit outdoors.

A couple of friends and I first visited the place after hearing rave reviews about its coffee.
I was initially shocked by the drinks offerings because they only do 'serious coffee'- don't expect frivolous things like a frappuccino!

I had an aromatic cup of cafe latte and a slice of red velvet cake, which was delectable! It's the perfect place to catch up with friends, or just enjoy some alone time while watching the world go by.

divine.
