Just a couple of photos and short 2-3-liners summing up last weekend:
Friday, 8th November

  • Dinner with ex-roomies and the bf at Jollibee – crazily long but fast-moving queue for imho very normal tasting pinoy fast food. Ordered 2 pastas, 2 tubs of 6 pc chicken, and 2 side orders of fries with 2 drinks, cost us more than $11 a person (party of 4)

Saturday 9th November
  • Vinyasa flow class at hom yoga with Nike global yoga ambassador Leah Kim – she’s very confident, has a sun-kissed, very sporty and wholesome feel about her.  Class was almost full (only 1 mat empty). She was very dynamic, but the class she led wasn't of my preferred type of teaching style (not zen enough)

  • Amazing buns for breakfast – 95cents golden sands bun from Baker’s talent at Blk 828 Tampines St 81 #01-266, post-yoga class. This is fast becoming my favourite bakery and source of comfort food.
amazing goodness for just 95 cents

Sunday, 10th November
  • Yummy and affordable dim sum($23.10 for 2 of us, we ordered 7 items/dishes or more and we were stuffed!) at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 Kowloon Hong Kong Dim Sum, Blk 151 before heading home. Amazingly good and cheap $3.50 for 3 egg yolk custard buns, almost as good as the ones at Victor's kitchen

Egg yolk custard bun: 8.5/10. pales slightly in comparison to Victor's Kitchen's version which is more flavourful. Consistency of the flour/bun portion is also stickier- sticks to your teeth instead of being fluffy and soft.

Fried Har Gao, also very good!
  • Afternoon 38 chit chat with the girls at Hoshino coffee at Plaza Singapura new extension. Had drinks and desserts only while QP & Q had main course. Pretty good overall.

QP's flavourful omurice

Funny girl with her yummy pasta
  • Multiple rounds of happiness over the past week till the weekends, receiving notification that i won a couple facebook competitions over these few weeks-
  1. JuJu aquamoist moisture set from SaSa SG
  2. 5 hot yoga lessons from Bych hot yoga X NYLON magazine (detailed review to come later)
  3. Claudarlie eye cream worth $100++ from Sephora Singapore
  4. Belif eye treatment essence & $10 off purchase voucher (which I gave to a very happy colleague) from Belif SG
  5. St Ive’s apricot scrub masque
my winning entry :D thanks St I've's Singapore!
  • Further shocking news that I won the runner up prize for scoot’s absurd Perthfect boluo instagram competition- 1 way ticket to Hong kong for this Friday which I can’t make it for; have a massively important client breakfast meeting followed by very nice team lunch at Royal China at Raffles hotel.
that's me in a weird-funny half-bow post biting the bun, right next to sadako... -__-"
  • Dinner with Bf and his family at Hokkien restaurant Quan Xiang Yuan 泉香园(清记)海鲜菜馆 selling amazing melt-in-your-mouth Kong Ba bao. Ordered about 6-7 dishes and cost only $180++ for our party of 14 (2 children, 2 infants)

That sums up my very exciting weekend :)
